Thuy Tranthi Rieder Joins Rosewood Hotel Group as Group VP of Sales & Marketing

Rosewood Hotel Group has appointed Thuy Tranthi Rieder as the group vice president of sales & marketing, aiming to strengthen its team in support of its expansion in the global luxury hospitality area.

Tranthi Rieder brings more than 20 years of marketing, sales and general management experience leading global teams in consumer, luxury, and hospitality brands. In her new role, she will oversee the branding, communications, sales, marketing, and e-commerce strategy for the group. Rosewood Hotel Group already manages three distinctive brands with a combined portfolio of 55 properties in 18 countries and a target to operate 120 hotels by 2020.  
 

Prior to joining Rosewood Hotel Group, Tranthi Rieder was chief marketing and communications officer for a Geneva-based, privately held portfolio of luxury hospitality, sports, and leisure properties. Previously, she held global marketing leadership roles and was an executive board member for the Lancel and Chloé brands of the Richemont Group.

Tranthi Rieder’s previous experience includes president of Celine, USA, president of Thomas Pink, USA, and general manager of Louis Vuitton Hawaii. Earlier stages of her career were spent at Disney Consumer Products, Elizabeth Arden Company, and in the financial industry.
 
Ms. Tranthi Rieder holds an MBA degree from Harvard University, Masters of Philosophy degree from the University of Cambridge, and BA degree from Barnard College, Columbia University.
