Abercrombie & Kent Expands Cruise Portfolio for 2023-24

Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has expanded its portfolio of “Luxury Expedition Cruises” to all seven continents for the 2023-2024 season. This includes four new itineraries in Europe, Africa and across the South Pacific.

“More than ever before, travelers are looking for immersive experiences – whether alongside a marine biologist in the Arctic, an Aboriginal culture expert in Western Australia, or a former NASA Astronaut in the most remote regions of the Pacific,” explains Bob Simpson, VP of expedition cruising for A&K.

In culture-rich ports, guests step off the ship with expert local guides and a member of the Expedition Team. Examples of land tours include a private performance at a Greek theater in Syros; a foodie tour in Brittany; or a visit to the limestone hills of UNESCO-designated Matera in southern Italy. When exploring glacier-clad Antarctica or the rugged Kimberley coast of Australia, Zodiac excursions are piloted by A&K naturalists. Guests can choose from hilltop hikes and walks along the beach to photograph penguins. In warmer hemispheres such as French Polynesia, the coast of Tanzania and the Seychelles, guests may go snorkeling to experience the marine environments.

There are four new itineraries for the 2023-2024 season, including the eight-day “Adriatic Voyage: Croatia, Montenegro & Greece” itinerary departs Venice for Athens; the nine-day “European Coastal Cruise: Portugal, Spain & France” itinerary departs Lisbon for London; the 14-day “Cruising the Seychelles & Coastal Tanzania” itinerary departs Zanzibar for Mahe; and the 14-day “French Polynesia to Easter Island Expedition” itinerary departs Papeete for Easter Island.

Expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic, The Northwest Passage, Japan, Australia’s Kimberleys, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea, Italy, Greece and Indonesia are also available.

“We have seen such strong interest in the Mediterranean this year—our Greece cruise quickly filled up—that we’ve planned a series of cruises next fall that can seamlessly be combined into one 28-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage,” adds Simpson. “Beginning with a cruise along nearly the entire navigable coast of Italy, guests add our new Adriatic voyage to Croatia and Montenegro and then end with Greece and lesser-known gems, including Patmos, Delos and Syros.”

“Luxury Expedition Cruises” are all-inclusive, from meals and unlimited house drinks, to complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry service, gratuities, transfers, port charges and shore excursions. Included city stays feature hotels and a choice of A&K guided tours.

Guests must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A doctor and nurse are available 24/7 with access to hospital equipment.
