andBeyond Launches New Small Group Journeys

andBeyond has announced its Small Group Journeys are expanding throughout Africa, Asia and South America with new itineraries launching on set departure dates in 2018 and 2019. In Africa, conservation-minded travelers can join andBeyond’s first Phinda Impact Story Small Group Journey for a hands-on conservation experience combined with a day-in-the life of an andBeyond ranger. Ocean lovers can head to Mozambique for andBeyond’s Oceans Without Borders Small Group Journey to participate in marine-based projects, such as fish tagging and monitoring reef systems. In Asia, the newly launched Bhutan Yoga Retreat Small Group Journey will attract travelers looking to center themselves.

Africa

New: Phinda Impact Story Small Group Journey

At the center of andBeyond’s conservation efforts, andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve has launched a Phinda Impact Story Small Group Journey, offering conservation-minded travelers the opportunity to learn about the land, wildlife and people. This seven-day journey combines wildlife conservation (such as rhino notching or elephant collaring), interaction with the local community, and a day-in-the-life of an andBeyond ranger, from learning tracking to rifle training to sleeping out beneath the stars.

New: Oceans Without Borders Small Group Journey

With the launch of andBeyond’s ocean conservation initiative, Oceans Without Borders, travelers can now join a six-day Oceans Without Borders Small Group Journey led by operations manager Dr. Tessa Hempson to gain a first-hand look at marine projects, such as fish tagging and measuring and monitoring reef systems. Guests will learn more about what it takes to be an andBeyond dive instructor or a marine biologist, spend time in the local community, and enjoy water sports like kayaking and snorkeling. All proceeds raised from this journey go towards Oceans Without Borders.

Botswana Mobile Camping Expedition

andBeyond Botswana Mobile Camping Expeditions offer travelers a private and interactive safari experience in a rustic, yet full-service mobile camp (think: butlers, housekeepers and chefs). Guests can enjoy land and water game drives, mokoro excursions and bush walks.

East Africa Photographic Expedition

With only four seats per departure, andBeyond’s tailored, six-night East Africa Photographic Expeditions set off through Tanzania with a specialist photographic guide in andBeyond’s new specially outfitted photographic safari vehicles (equipped with electrical charging stations, air conditioning, 360-degree swivel chairs with camera mounts and fully stocked bar).

Private Jet Expeditions

The 12-day Private Jet Small Group Journeys visit andBeyond Bateleur Camp (Kenya), andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge (Tanzania) and andBeyond Ngala Tented Camp (South Africa). New: Bhutan Yoga Retreat Small Group Journey

andBeyond’s new Bhutan Yoga Retreat Small Group Journey allows travelers to explore the country’s natural beauty, dzongs and hallowed monasteries. Highlights of this 10-day journey include yoga and meditation, hiking Tiger’s Nest monastery in Paro and exploring the fortresses and temples of Thimphu and Punakha, all led by an expert local guide and specialist healing facilitator.

New: India Mobile Camping

andBeyond’s new 11-day India Mobile Camping Small Group Journey takes travelers glamping through Delhi, Kalinjar, Panna National Park, Orccha and Kuno to explore India’s history and wildlife. After sipping chai in Chandni Chowk and exploring temples in Old Delhi, travelers move onto luxury mobile tents in Kalinjar and Kuno. Activities include hiking to ancient forts, searching for tigers and engaging with local tribes.

Eat, Pray and Love, India

The new 11-day Eat, Pray and Love in India journey brings guests through Delhi, Agra, Amritsar and Udaipur to explore monuments and museums, local marketplaces and bustling bazaars, and holy shrines. Highlights include visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Lodhi gardens in New Delhi, dining near the Taj Mahal, joining a local family in their home to cook and eat an authentic Indian meal, exploring the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and visiting Punjabiyat farm.

Snow Leopard Expedition

Adventurous travelers can set off the 13-day Snow Leopard Expedition in India’s Himalayan region of Ladakh, in search of the elusive snow leopard. So far, andBeyond has a 100 percent success rate of groups spotting a snow leopard.

Wine & Country Expedition

Starting first in Santiago, andBeyond’s 11-day Wine & Country Expedition then takes travelers to Chile’s “wine country.” The tour continues south to Pucón before heading to the Lakes region of Chile and Argentina to explore San Martin de los Andes and Bariloche. The Land Rover adventure finishes with a trip to Puerto Varas, a town surrounded by peaks and lakes, to enjoy the nature and local cuisine.

Patagonia Lakes Expedition

andBeyond’s 10-day Patagonia Lakes Expedition takes groups on a Land Rover Journey from Chile’s Lakes region into the volcanoes and forests of northern Patagonia. After crossing into Argentina to explore the towns of San Martin de los Andes and Bariloche, the trip ends back in Chile at the Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve, located in the rainforest under the Andes Mountain Range. Highlights include horseback riding, volcano hiking and indulging in Argentina’s “chocolate capital” Bariloche.
