From November 29 to December 6, The Family Coppola Hideaways brand is hosting Winemaker Week—a seven-night adventure geared for oenophiles through Belize. The trip splits its time between two of The Family Coppola Hideaways resorts: Blancaneaux Lodge, situated in the heart of Belize’s jungles, and the beachside Turtle Inn. After each day of outdoor adventures or relaxation, in the evenings guests can enjoy winemaker tastings and dinners guided by a winemaker from the Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
Guests will first be driven to Blancaneux Lodge, where the trip spends its first three nights. During the day, guests are encouraged to explore the remote mountain and jungle setting. Guests can venture through the jungles and swim through pools and waterfalls surrounded by remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization, before returning to their Guatemalan-inspired thatched roof lodge complete with amenities and full service. There are a number of activities and excursions that guests can book through the Lodge’s concierge. Activities include a tour of the Barton Creek Caves or a horseback riding tour. The Blancaneux Lodge also has an infinity pool and a spa.
On day four, guests are driven to Turtle Inn, where they will stay in individual thatched cottages with private decks, right on the white-sand beach. This half of the trip begins with a half-day of snorkeling in the Caribbean Sea and a barbecue lunch, right off of The Family Coppola Hideaways’ private island, Coral Caye. The last two days of the adventure are free days, where guests can take advantage of the Belizean coast and snorkel, kayak or lounge on the beach. There will also be a specially curated wine tasting in The Coppola Family’s 1200-bottle “Wine Aquarium.” The full itinerary is available here.
After a special farewell winemaker dinner, guests will have a short hopper flight already booked for them back to Belize International Airport. Prices for this expedition begin at $2,865 per person, depending upon the level of dwelling chosen and the activities booked.
