Ker & Downey Africa has unveiled its latest LuxVenture, a honeymoon safari in Tanzania. On this trip, couples will be whisked away to the most romantic and secluded regions in the country, with the team at Ker & Downey Africa curating bespoke experiences along the way.
The experience kicks off in Arusha, the gateway of the northern safari circuit in Tanzania. Guests will enjoy a stay amidst coffee plantations at Arusha Coffee Lodge, located on the foothills of Mount Meru. They will be treated to a one-hour flight over Mount Kilimanjaro.
Next, they will journey to the Chem Chem Lodge, located between Lake Manyara and the Tarangire National Park. Between safari activities and candlelit dinners, the couple will have a chance to celebrate their love in a traditional Maasai ceremony. This intimate blessing takes place on the flamingo-filled shores of Lake Manyara and includes singing by a Maasai choir and traditional Maasai attire for the couple.
Later, it’s a short flight to the all-inclusive andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, located on the rim of the largest caldera in the world. During their stay, the couple will have the opportunity to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, besides enjoying a picnic lunch set up right on the crater floor.
The couple will then fly to One Nature Nyaruswiga in Serengeti. The stay will include gourmet meals, bush picnics, butler service and candlelit dinner under the stars. On the morning of Day 9, they can enjoy a sunrise safari hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
