ALHI Announces US Expansion

Mövenpick has agreed to manage the new 250-guestroom Movenpick Hotel Muscat.

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has announced that it expanded the US city hotel options in its portfolio with the addition of Langham Place, Fifth Avenue in New York City, the brand new The Langham, Chicago in Chicago, and Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans.

The ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) sales force, which has a portfolio of over 150 Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts worldwide, and are located throughout the US and in Canada, now provides GSO services and sales support to those conducting meetings and/or incentive programs at these hotels. In addition to their membership in ALHI’s worldwide portfolio, the hotels also become the newest members in the “ALHI City Solutions Collection” specialty segment, which now features 60 city location options in distinctive metropolitan areas around the world.

Langham Place, Fifth Avenue embodies luxurious style and understated sophistication. Located in the heart of Manhattan’s most coveted district, the hotel is surrounded by New York City’s celebrated landmarks. Offering modern apartment-style accommodations, the 214 guest rooms and suites provide sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. Complimentary guest room amenities include Internet connectivity, soft drinks, and pressing of five items of clothing upon arrival. The hotel provides 2,800 square feet of contemporary meeting space, a 24-hour business center, two restaurants including acclaimed Ai Fiori, an 11,000-square-foot spa with 11 treatment rooms, complimentary 24-hour fitness center, a salon, and a lounge overlooking 5th Avenue. The hotel is just two blocks from the iconic Empire State Building and Bryant Park. Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and the Fifth Avenue Shops are within walking distance, along with Penn Station and Grand Central. The hotel is just 25 minutes from JFK International Airport and 15 minutes from LaGuardia Airport.

Opened in July 2013, The Langham, Chicago gracefully blends urban sophistication with refined luxury, combined with views overlooking the Chicago River. Located in downtown Chicago in a 52-story landmark tower designed by renowned architect Miles van der Rowe, the hotel features 316 residential-style guest rooms and suites, each featuring views, as well as a 55-inch LCD television, and wired and wireless Internet access. The hotel offers 15,000 square feet of meeting space and 12 meeting rooms of versatile function space, which includes the 4,840-square-foot Devonshire Ballroom. Amenities at the hotel include the 22,000-square-foot Chuan Spa, the Electric Cinema that features the latest audiovisual facilities fit for professional movie screenings, the contemporary Mediterranean-style Travelle restaurant and bar, a fully equipped gym, afternoon tea with live music, and a private 4,500-square-foot Langham Club Lounge. The hotel is just steps from the renowned shopping on the Magnificent Mile, and convenient to such other Chicago sites as Shedd Aquarium, the John Hancock Observatory, and the city’s numerous museums. The hotel is just 25 minutes from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, or 20 minutes from Chicago Midway International Airport.

Situated in New Orleans’ famous French Quarter, the Hotel Monteleone is a landmark that sits along the famous Royal Street. The fifth generation family-owned and operated hotel has provided service for over 127 years. The hotel offers 570 guest rooms that each include a Keurig coffee brewer, refrigerator, high-speed Internet access, large high-definition LCD television, and marble and granite bathroom. The hotel’s 24 meeting rooms provide a total of 24,000 square feet of recently renovated meeting space, which can host groups up to 400. In addition, the hotel features the famous and recently expanded Carousel Bar & Lounge, the new Criollo Restaurant, Spa Aria, a heated rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness center, a business center, and valet parking. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is only 20 minutes from the hotel. In addition to its membership in the “ALHI City Solutions Collection” specialty segment Hotel Monteleone also becomes the newest addition to the “ALHI Historic Collection,” which consists of ALHI’s legendary meeting hotels and resorts with more than 50 years of heritage.

Langham Place, Fifth Avenue becomes ALHI’s third member in New York City, joining the all new and soon to be reopening AAA Four-Diamond Loews Regency Hotel, and the New York Palace Hotel, which just completed a major makeover and meeting space expansion.

The Langham Chicago becomes ALHI’s fifth member in downtown Chicago, joining: Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, which recently completed a $50 million transformation; the elegant landmark InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile; the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, providing stunning views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline; and The Peninsula Chicago, voted #1 Large City Hotel in the U.S. and Canada by Travel + Leisure.

Hotel Monteleone joins as ALHI’s second member in New Orleans in the portfolio, along with the AAA Four-Diamond, 295-room Loews New Orleans Hotel in the heart of the city.
