Cathay Pacific’s First Class Service Returns to New York

Cathay Pacific has announced it will recommence first class service from New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) on March 31, 2024. The first class experience includes new culinary offerings, bespoke wellness and sleep-enhancing amenities alongside attentive service.

First class customers flying between New York and Hong Kong will enjoy spacious and comfortable private suites, an enhanced in-flight entertainment system and complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity. Passengers will also enjoy service and hospitality from Cathay Pacific’s Premium Ambassadors, a cabin crew specially trained for first class service by five-star Hong Kong hotel and fellow Swire business, The Upper House.

The airline has partnered with leading organic brand Bamford to provide bedding and wellness amenities in-flight, including natural skincare products and sleep amenity kits. The airline’s first class seats transform into one of the widest fully flat beds in the sky, with sustainably sourced luxury bedding, a selection of soft pillows and a calming aromatherapy pillow mist. Passengers will enjoy turndown service, a cotton sleep suit, an eye mask and slippers to complete the sensory experience.

Cathay Pacific’s first class dining service has recently introduced refreshed menus highlighting signature favorites, alongside traditional Hong Kong and international specialties made with ingredients from sustainable and ethical sources. The airline has also launched a series of new culinary partnerships with notable Hong Kong restaurants, including Michelin-starred Duddell’s.

In addition to Cathay Pacific’s commitment to premium in-flight experiences, first class passengers can access the airline’s lounges at Hong Kong International Airport, including The Wing, First and The Pier, First, where an exclusive dining collaboration with Rosewood Hong Kong has been announced.

The departure, flight CX831, departs JFK at 2:55 p.m. and arrives in Hong Kong on the following day at 6:55 p.m. The return flight, CX830, departs Hong Kong at 9:05 a.m., arriving in New York at 1:15 p.m. on the same day.
