The Wing, Cathay Pacific’s flagship lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, got a beautiful makeover by Foster + Partners in February, and it has tongues wagging.

Now sporting a sleek, minimalist look with marble floors and Eucalyptus wood walls, the First Class Lounge features custom furniture—the Solus Chair, a brainchild of both Cathay Pacific and Foster + Partners, was crafted by Poltrona Frau in Italy; the hour-glass chairs, made of leather upholstery and enclosed by a lacquered shell, function as private spaces for travelers to work, eat and relax.

When you arrive at The Wing, you’ll be privy to a welcome drink at the brand new Champagne Bar. Order from an à la carte menu at The Haven, the dining area, or choose something to eat from the buffet. There’s also a Reading Room and IT Zone. For the ultimate in relaxation, book one of the five private cabanas, which come with showers, full-size baths and day beds. There are also 12 shower suites available.

Cathay Pacific operates direct flights to Hong Kong from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. It has codeshare services with most major cities in the United States.
