The Moorings Announces St. Thomas as Newest Charter Destination

Yacht charter company The Moorings announced it has established charter operations in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands for the 2021 charter season. A variety of charter options will be available, with all-inclusive Crewed yacht charters available beginning in February 2021 and Bareboat Sailing and Power yacht charters available from March 2021. This new base joins The Moorings’ growing list of charter destinations now open and available for charters in 2021.

Just a 10-minute drive from Cyril E. King airport, this newest base is located in Yacht Haven Grande Marina in Charlotte Amalie. Good to know: Multiple major airlines accommodate direct flights from the United States and no passport is required for U.S. Citizens.

From Charlotte Amalie guests are free to enjoy the U.S. Virgin Islands, including the "cosmopolitan flair" of St. Thomas to the "quiet serenity" of St. John and St. Croix. The U.S. Virgin Islands are also ideal for water sports, including snorkeling, diving and recreational fishing. As always, guests will enjoy these cruising grounds aboard The Moorings’ fleet of yachts, including previous Boat of the Year winners, the Moorings 5000 and Moorings 4500 sailing catamarans, as well as the smaller three-cabin Moorings 4000 sailing catamaran and the swift and stylish Moorings 433 power catamaran.

As for the booking terms, The Moorings currently has decreased the window to change the dates of your charter from 30 days’ advance notice to seven days’ notice. Guests may opt to receive a refund certificate for the full charter amount, which will be valid for any departure within 12 months from your original departure date (guests will also receive a refund certificate if The Moorings has to cancel your charter for any reason). Additionally, guests may change their dates for any reason up to 14 days before departure with the purchase a Flex Protection Plan.
