Tradewind Aviation to Open New Base Near Palm Beach, FL

Tradewind Aviation has announced its expansion into the Southeast U.S. with the September opening of a new aircraft base near Palm Beach, FL, continuing its growth plans for this year and beyond.

Building on several recent growth developments, including its purchase of 20 new Pilatus PC-12 NGX aircraft and the addition of a new hangar facility at Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Poughkeepsie, NY, Tradewind’s opening of a Florida base is reflective of the continued rise in demand for private charter service.

As Tradewind broadens its operations, the addition of a Southeast base marks a strategic move to bolster its presence in key emerging national markets, and enhance its ability to offer guests private charter solutions throughout the region, and between the U.S and the Bahamas. Tradewind’s new Florida base will also prove a strong economic driver in and around the Palm Beach area, while broadening its recruitment opportunities for pilots, ground crew operations and more—a crucial consideration as the aviation industry continues to face labor shortages.

The new base will open in September 2023 and host a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft available for on-demand regional travel needs. Tradewind will offer its Goodspeed Card charter program to the region, and apply an occupied rate pricing model, allowing guests to pay only for the time they fly, with no reposition fees.
