Tribute Portfolio Unveils Redesigned Westshore Grand in Tampa

Marriott International has announced the debut of their third Florida hotel, The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Tampa, FL.

Redesigned by Forchielli Glynn LLC, The Westshore Grand draws inspiration by the history of the city, which was originally named “Tanpa” by the natives, meaning “sticks of fire.” That concept was portrayed in the new design with bent wood lighting pendants, which create patterned shadows on the ceiling, and colorful rugs in the lounge area. Eclectic furnishings reflect Tampa’s modern beach vibe.

Previously known as The Paramount, the update include a variety upscale amenities for guests, including an expanded bar area, a redone lobby, and new dining establishments such as the No Name Lounge and the award-winning Shula’s Steakhouse.

As with all Tribute Portfolio properties, The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tampa has its own “#independentmoments:” highlights and can’t-miss experiences at each property. At The Westshore Grand, they include:

  • Bartender Kyle Haggerty, who’s known for his vast culinary and Tampa history knowledge.

  • The Cuban sandwich, which is the hotel’s signature dish – it draws inspiration from the strong Cuban culture in Tampa.

  • Rooftop sunset that offers complete views of the city.

Tribute Portfolio, additionally, announced new independent hotels and resorts in Santa Fe, NM; Coral Gables, FL; St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; San Diego, CA; and Houston, TX to the collection as well as two new properties in Singapore and Bali.
