The new Stephen Webster Bijoux Afternoon Tea-- launching exclusively for Autumn/Winter 2011-- is inspired by the latest collection created by the renowned British jewelry designer. Imagine sparkling cakes and savory sandwiches that are as gorgeous as the jewels that adorn celebs like Madonna, Kate Moss, Rihanna, and Mickey Rourke (all devoted fans of Stephen Webster).
Fashionistas will drool over these edible masterpieces: the Crystal Clear Diamond, a lightly perfumed Guinness macaroon with blackcurrant jelly; the Poison Apple, a red peppercorn and dark chocolate shortbread; and a roasted green pistachio Chantilly with meringue sponge inspired by Stephen Webster's Armadillo ring. The designer’s new collection is called “Murder She Wrote” and contains dramatic, statement pieces channeling the murder mystery genre. Served in the hotel’s Palm Court, The Stephen Webster Bijoux Afternoon Tea is priced at £49 per person (approximately US $79), inclusive of VAT, and is available from September 1, 2011 - March 31, 2012.
