The Spectator Hotel to Open in Charleston this Summer

The Spectator Hotel, Charleston

There’s a new luxury hotel prepping for a summer debut in Charleston, South Carolina- an increasingly popular tourist destination. By the looks of the special packages currently listed online, The Spectator Hotel is aiming to attract well-heeled travelers thirsting for local experiences. (One such package includes a helicopter ride, a sailing excursion on a private yacht and a private horse drawn carriage tour through Charleston’s historic district. Guided culinary tours are also available.)

Here’s the skinny on The Spectator: Situated on State Street one block away from the Historic Charleston City Market, the boutique hotel has 41 rooms across three different room categories. Each room comes with a dry bar, free wifi, a Nespresso machine and spa-like bathrooms with heated towel racks. A gourmet continental breakfast is included with room rates. There will be a big focus on southern hospitality; according to the official website the personalized butlers will be the “only service of its kind in Charleston.” With an expert mixologist on staff, the bar also promises to be a happening hang-out, fusing “the exuberance of the 1920s speakeasy and the ease of the Jazz Age.”
