Visit California presents the second annual California Restaurant Month this upcoming January with select restaurants statewide showing off their best.
Nearly 30 spots across California have created week or month-long promotions, featuring prix fixe menus, wine pairings and celebrity chef events. The seven new locations for 2012 are Camarillo, Pacific Grove, Pasadena, Redding, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Maria Valley, and Simi Valley.
Visitors in California love food. Last year they spent $21.3 billion on food and beverages, more than any other spending segment, constituting 26 percent of all visitor spending, according to Dean Runyan Associates.
