Wyndham Virginia Crossings Richmond Renovated

The Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel in Richmond has announced the completion of its $3 million renovation. Located just off I-95, the property boasts 150 landscaped acres, brick walls surrounding Federal-style buildings that overlook lawns, gardens and woodlands. It has 183 rooms, two restaurants, and an array of sporting activities.

Nestled on a three-building campus, the recently renovated Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel& Conference Center features 183 deluxe guest rooms, two restaurants, a fitness center, outdoor pool and The Crossings Golf Club.

Located at the interchange of Interstates 95 and 295, the hotel is 12 miles north of the City of Richmond, 20 miles north of Richmond International Airport and 90 miles south of Washington , D.C. The property is actually close to Virginia ’s attractions, including Jefferson’s Monticello, Colonial Williamsburg, and the sites of some of the Civil War’s battles. The hotel and the area provide an array of activities including winery tours, hot air balloon trips, fairs and festivals and shopping.

The hotel showcases Virginia ’s heritage, with architecture and interior design that recall Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. The Jefferson Garden is modeled on the gardens at that estate. The Golden Liberty Eagle, gilded in 24K gold leaf, is dedicated to the US Armed Forces and flies atop the golden dome of the Jefferson Building.

 

The Tavern Restaurant is named after the historic Yellow Tavern that occupied the site of the Civil War battleground where the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center now stands.

 

The property has various packages. The Virginia is for Lovers package lets guests enjoy these Virginia attractions, with the package including Four Diamond accommodations, breakfast for two in The Glen Restaurant, Champagne and strawberries upon arrival, a box of truffles, late check out, and access to all the amenities of the hotel. Offer is valid until December 31.

An upcoming exhibit, Chihuly at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, includes Persian Ceiling by glass artist Dale Chihuly from October 20 to Feruary 10, 2013.

Richmond History Package includes accommodations and breakfast for two, two tickets admission to the Museum of the Confederacy, a guided tour of the White House of the Confederacy, and a map of Richmond ’s Civil War battlefields and sites. It also end on December 31.

Right on the grounds of the Wyndham Virginia crossings, guests will find golf, a putting green on the lawn, a fully equipped fitness center, swimming pool, volley ball and the hotel’s newest activity – cycling. The Wyndham Virginia Crossings will be Richmond ’s Cycling Hotel when the World Cycling Championship comes to Richmond in 2015. The surrounding area offers hiking trails, fishing, boating and a chance to ride the rapids on the James River .
