Air France Reopens Refurbished Lounge at San Francisco Airport

Air France has announced the reopening of its completely refurbished lounge, located at Gate A of the international terminal at San Francisco International Airport. The lounge is now larger, and offers new spaces and more services.

Dedicated to La Première, Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers of Air France, KLM and its Skyteam partner airlines, the lounge is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nearly 1,000 square feet larger, it now has a total surface area of 6,081 square feet and 117 seats.

A restaurant area showcases French cuisine in the style of a Parisian brasserie. A large table d’hôte and comfortable seating allow guests to spend some time together around a self-service buffet. The menu changes throughout the day, offering a choice of hot and cold, savory and sweet dishes. Vegetarian options are also available at all times. In a more sustainable approach, Air France favors local and seasonal produce when preparing its menu. The airline pays particular attention to limiting food waste, selective sorting, and recycling of its catering services. Additionally, water fountains are available to limit the consumption of single-use plastic.

A large bar is also available. Dressed in blue-stained wood, this convivial space offers a selection of French wines and champagnes, spirits and cocktails prepared by a bar attendant. Local draught beers are also available.

Customers traveling in the La Première cabin between San Francisco and Paris have a confidential area in the lounge totally dedicated to them. It is flooded with natural light thanks to its large glass façade. It has its own restaurant and direct access to the bar. Ideal for relaxing out of sight, it also benefits from sleek, tailor-made furnishings.mFlying Blue Ultimate customers also have a space reserved for them. Equipped with comfy chairs, it is located at the entrance to the lounge.

The lounge entrance is equipped with eligibility kiosks for greater fluidity, a free Wi-Fi connection and numerous electrical and USB sockets close to the seats. Showers are available throughout the day; a digital press offer is also available on the Air France Play app.

This summer, Air France is operating up to 12 weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and San Francisco airport.
