Seabourn Sojourn’s 2022 World Cruise Cancelled

Ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn has canceled the 2022 145-day “World Cruise” on Seabourn Sojourn, which was originally scheduled to depart on January 11, 2022 from Los Angeles. The 2024 “World Cruise” itinerary will replicate the now-canceled 2022 “World Cruise” and will be available for booking in October 2021.

As a result of pandemic-induced delays, Seabourn has revised the restart for Seabourn Sojourn, which will begin sailing in the Mediterranean from June 6, 2022. The ship will spend the summer sailing the Western Mediterranean and exploring the French and Italian Rivieras, Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Morocco, Malta and the Canary Islands.

“Based on input from our loyal guests and those interested to experience Seabourn for the first time, we revised the restart for Seabourn Sojourn to coincide with peak summer 2022 travel,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn, in a press note. “We know our guests are eager to see the world with us again, and we look forward to welcoming guests back to Seabourn.”

Guests and travel advisors on the canceled 2022 “World Cruise” voyage will receive relevant information applicable to their booking. Seabourn encourages guests and travel advisors to use the resources available on its website first rather than calling the reservation call center for information about the cancellations.

Seabourn has a fleet of five ships with two expedition ships that are under construction. The line is currently operating two of the five ships in its fleet. It is an official cruise partner of UNESCO World Heritage under a multi-year agreement to help promote sustainable tourism at World Heritage sites around the world.
