Steel Cut for Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Newest Ship, Seven Seas Grandeur

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has begun construction for the 750-guest Seven Seas Grandeur, following an official steel cutting ceremony earlier this month at Fincantieri's shipyard in Ancona, Italy.

"We recently recommenced operations with the re-inaugural season of our newest ship, Seven Seas Splendor, and our incredible journey continues with this milestone as we begin construction of Seven Seas Grandeur," said Jason Montague, president and CEO, Regent Seven Seas Cruises. in a press release.

In two years, the ultra-luxury line will welcome this sixth ship into its fleet. "We are delighted to once again be in the hands of the talented engineers of Fincantieri, who will produce a ship of refined style, matchless elegance and breath-taking beauty," adds Montague.

The 55,5000-gross-ton Seven Seas Grandeur, a sister to Seven Seas Explorer, is being designed by Miami's Studio DADO. The ship's space ratios and staff-to-guest ratios will be among the industry's highest.

Regent Seven Seas recently revealed details about the new ship's interior spaces, including its 15 suite categories. Among the suites is the ship's largest—the palatial 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite, which has its own in-suite spa and comes at a price tag of $11,000 per night.

While sailing on Seven Seas Grandeur, all guests will have multiple dining options, among them the specialty restaurants, Prime 7 and Chartreuse, as well as a reimagined Compass Rose.

Seven Seas Grandeur will begin sailing in November 2023. During its inaugural year, the new ship will operate 17 Caribbean and Mediterranean voyages, as well as two seven- to 16-night transatlantic crossings.
