ARTempoCuba Offers Travel Packages to Havana Biennial of Fine Art

The Havana Biennial of Fine Art is recognized as one of Latin America’s most important contemporary art events, attracting artists, collectors, and art lovers from around the world. The Havana Biennial is a cultural event that fills the exhibition halls, galleries, theaters and streets of the city with sculptures, paintings, and street and performance art.

ARTempoCuba is the independent non-profit for Cuban fine arts and culture and publishers of Cutting Edge Art in Havana, the companion book to the Havana Biennial. ARTempoCuba has created the Official Travel Packages to the opening of the 13th Havana Biennial, April 12-16, 2019.

Travel planning and logistics will be handled by Havana VIP, a provider of concierge-style, English-language prestige travel to Cuba, with experience catering to an elite clientele.

ARTempoCuba’s group leader experts include Meyken Barreto, a former professor of art history at the University of Havana; Adolfo Mena, an award-winning young Cuban filmmaker and former assistant director at Havana’s Teatro El Publico theater; Elvis Fuentes, former curator at New York’s El Museo del Barrio; and Richard Gioioso, PhD, the director of the Latin American Studies program at St. Joseph’s University.  They will lead visitors to the art, music, and cultural events of the Havana Biennial.

Some of the activities ARTempoCuba has planned for its guests include: exclusive access to meet artists, tours of studios, and tours of the Museum of Fine Arts, and of Havana’s new “underground” independent, alternative art spaces, and an exclusive, invite-only collateral art exhibition opening party.

Havana VIP will provide sightseeing opportunities like their walking tour of Old Havana, their Fortresses Ché and Hemingway Tour, their famous cooking class in a Cuban home, live music and dancing at multiple nightspots, and VIP access to Fábrica de Arte Cubano, a popular destination for music, fashion, and design.
