Director David Lynch Designs Label for Dom Pérignon

Dom Perignon, David LynchIt seems David Lynch is everywhere in the Paris design world these days. The Hollywood film-maker decorated a suite at the Hotel Lutetia; his nightclub, Silencio, continues to be a hot spot; and he curated an exhibit at the Cartier Foundation last winter. The latest news? Lynch has designed the label for limited-edition bottles of Dom Pérignon Champagne. “The Power of Creation” collection includes Dom Pérignon 2003 and the Rosé 2000.

Decanter.com quotes Dom Pérignon’s publicity team: “The gift box is ‘a little magic theatre, similar to the ones that David Lynch could have imagined. The silk ribbons at either end raise the curtain on the interior of the box, where Lynchian chiaroscuro silhouettes herald a world where mystery is a game." In a press release, the famous Champagne house said, “The collaboration is no surprise since its world and that of Lynch have much in common, including ‘mystery, intensity, commitment, time, the constant reinvention of the self, and above all, absolute faith in the power of creation."
