Aman Sveti Stefan, MontenegroWe've been keeping our eyes on Montenegro as one of the hottest emerging destinations in Europe. (Back in the day, the beautiful coastline was the playground of Hollywood A-listers, and now Montenegro is back on the radar of jetsetters exploring the Adriatic by yacht.) A symbol of this renaissance is the Aman Sveti Stefan resort, first opened a few years ago by Amanresorts on an idyllic island just offshore.

The restoration project-- converting what was once a fortified village in the 15th century-- was meticulous, and completed in phases. The latest news is that the the project has wrapped, and Aman Sveti Stefan has unveiled a new restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and terraces facing the sea.

With a new hotel in Venice, and another in development in Croatia, Amanresorts will have three properties in the region. For more information about the beachfront Aman Sveti Stefan, which has 50 rooms, cottages and suites, visit www.amanresorts.com/amansvetistefan/home.aspx.
