New in Edinburgh: Luxury Suites at The Atholl

As we reported a few weeks ago, Scotland is stepping up its luxury hotel development this year, with a Waldorf Astoria debuting in Edinburgh (The Caledonian), and the Glen Affric Estate opening any day now in the National Nature Reserve outside of Inverness. The latest exclusive property to cross our radar? The Atholl in Edinburgh—with just four opulent suites. Slated to open next week, The Atholl is the talk of the town.

Here’s what’s included in each suite: a gorgeous kitchen; living and dining rooms with original Georgian features; a wine and artisanal cheese selection in custom-made chiller cabinets; Nespresso coffee machines; and Penhaligons toiletries. No detail is overlooked – right down to the Riedel glasses and Bernadaud dishes in the kitchens. The Dundonald (three-bedroom suite) even has its own private whisky tasting room, while The Abercromby (three-bedroom suite) has a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace and hot tub.

Though the hotel’s guest experience mimics a private home, there is 24-hour service, and in-suite dining prepared by your own private chef. The menu was created by legendary chef Albert Roux of Le Gavroche.

The Atholl is located at 11 Atholl Crescent in the heart of the New Town, minutes from the Castle, Princes Street and George Street. For more information, visit http://theatholl.com.
