Chefs Thomas and Mathia Suhring, tower club at lebuaAnyone who’s had the pleasure of dining at Mezzaluna Restaurant, located on the 65th floor of the Tower Club at lebua, is mesmerized by the views over Bangkok. (Even if you haven’t- you probably got a sense of the dizzying views from The Hangover Part II, filmed at lebua.) The award-winning restaurant is helmed by twin German chefs, Thomas and Mathias Sühring, who learned the tricks of the trade while working with star chefs across Europe including Sven Elverfeld at Aqua in Wolfsburg, Jonnie Boer’s De Librije in Zwolle, and La Pergola in Rome with Heinz Beck.

Now travelers in Lufthansa’s First and Business Class on all international flights can get a taste of the twin chefs’ marvelous creations. As part of Lufthansa’s Star Chefs fine-dining program, the Sühring brothers have devised menus for January and February 2012 that include delicacies like King Prawn Confit with Palm Hearts, Mint, Lemon and Vanilla; Thai Salad with fried Breast of Quail and Tamarind Sauce; Sautéed Tenderloin of Beef in Oyster Sauce with fresh Vegetables and Jasmine Rice; Medium rare Breast of Duck, Bok Choy and Cauliflower Risotto, Pecorino Romano Ravioli with Tomato and Parsley.
