Chef Pierre Gagnaire Teams up with Lucien Barrière Hôtels

Fouquet's, Paris

For fans of French haute cuisine, the restaurant news out of Paris these days is positively thrilling. Yannick Alléno is now running the show at Ledoyen, Alain Ducasse has gone vegetarian at Hotel Plaza Athénée, Christian Le Squer has taken charge at the Four Seasons George V, and Philippe Labbé may or may not be moving to the Hotel Ritz.

In the latest news, Michelin three-star chef Pierre Gagnaire has teamed up with Lucien Barrière Hôtels to bring some fresh energy to Fouquet’s, the destination brasserie on the Champs-Elysées that’s been around since 1899. Connected to the Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière, the famous restaurant will soon offer a menu designed by Gagnaire.

The new menu was unveiled at the outlet of Fouquet's brasserie located in Cannes. The idea was “to reflect on the evolution of the French art de vivre” and respect France’s traditional culinary tradition. On the menu you’ll find the famous Merlan Colbert, beef tenderloin with black peppercorn flambéed with a Cognac sauce, and sweets like the classic Baba au rhum and millefeuille.
