A Room Makeover for Elounda Gulf Villas & Suites on Crete

Keen on Crete? Rich with Minoan cultural sites, Greece’s largest island has long lured visitors for its rich history and beautiful beaches. A great place to take in Crete’s majesty is the intimate boutique hotel known as Elounda Gulf Villas & Suites, perched on a hillside with sweeping views of the Aegean Sea, the Gulf of Mirabello and Spinalonga Island. The property was founded by Anna and Dimitris Kadianakis in the 1990s, and, today, daughters Anthi and Charitini Kadianakis continue the family tradition by running Elounda with their mother. The hotel has just 15 suites and 18 private villas, each equipped with a sparkling infinity pool.

Just in time for the busy summer season 2019, Elounda Gulf Villas is showing off a makeover. All villas have been renovated; the update injects the hotel with a new contemporary style. Even the Royal Spa Pool Villa was refreshed. This sprawling pad is a favorite of visiting royalty and politicians. Measuring more than 3,700 square feet, this celebrity-approved hideaway comes with a dining area with fireplace, private pool with Jacuzzi, private gym room, sauna and steam bath. Also note: New “Massage Pool Suites” are equipped with private pools and massage rooms.
