Isla Brown Chania Opens on Crete's Northern Coastline

Brown Hotels has announced the opening of Isla Brown Chania on the northern Crete coastline. This is the second property to launch under the hotel group’s “Isla” brand of luxury resorts, following the opening of Isla Brown Corinthia last summer.

Designed by Liakos Associates Architects, the resort is a 15-minute drive from Chania International Airport and 30 minutes from Chania town. The property has 148 rooms and suites, multiple restaurant concepts, an outdoor bar and lounge area, four swimming pools, a spa and wellness center, two meeting rooms, and an outdoor lawn for events. The children’s club offers creative corners, board games, ball games and a PlayStation, while the youth club, for older children, offers a pool table, hockey table, table football and a ping pong table.

Isla Brown Chania has two room types and four suite varieties. Guests can choose from a Deluxe Garden or Deluxe Sea room view, or opt for one of the more spacious suites, including a Junior Family suite, Deluxe Garden View suite with a shared pool, Grand Suite with a private pool or Honeymoon Suite with a private splash pool. All rooms and suites at Isla Brown Chania will include balconies, and are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, flat HDTVs, bathrobes, slippers and luxury bath amenities.

Among the resort's three restaurant concepts, the Terrace bar serves all-day menu including snacks, pizza, the signature breakfast buffet, and refreshments; the main restaurant offers an a la carte menu; and the traditional-style taverna offers Greek classics. The wellness center includes a spa with a hammam, sauna and an on-site gym.

In 2024, Isla Brown Chania will reach 222 rooms with 30 suites with private splash pools, and a pier at the foot of the cliff to lead guests directly down to the sea. Brown Hotels plans to open four additional boutique properties in Athens this year; the acquisition of further properties will see the Brown Hotels’ collection total at 40 hotels across Greece by 2024.
