The Chatwal, New York Offers Package in Collaboration With "Torch Song"

The Chatwal, home to America’s first ever theatrical society, The Lambs Club, has long been immersed in New York’s theater productions. After past partnerships with "The Great Comet of 1812" and, most recently, "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical," the luxury hotel has announced its latest collaboration—with the production of Harvey Fierstein’s "Torch Song" as it moves to a limited engagement at the Hayes Theater (which began October 9).

In addition to two premium tickets to "Torch Song" with an exclusive backstage tour of the Hayes Theater and a copy of the script signed by playwright Harvey Fierstein, the “Torch Song” package includes luxurious double accommodations for a two-night minimum stay, a personalized welcome amenity and one pre-theater dinner for two at The Chatwal’s Lambs Club Restaurant and Bar by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. The offer is valid for stays from October 15 through February 28, 2019.

The acclaimed production of the Tony Award-winning comedy stars Drama Desk Award-winner Michael Urie (Younger, Ugly Betty, Buyer & Cellar) and Academy Award and Tony-winner Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King, Lost in Yonkers) and is directed by Tony nominee Moisés Kaufman (The Laramie Project, I Am My Own Wife). Tip: The Hayes Theater is at 240 West 44th Street, an short walk from The Chatwal.

"Torch Song" explores themes of life and love in New York as the choices of the main character, a gay man named Arnold played by Urie, are at odds with the expectations of his overbearing mother (played by Mercedes Ruehl).
