Resort and hotel brand Fusion will open its first Fusion Originals hotel next summer in Ho Chi Minh City. Darwin – a Fusion Original will be the first in the company’s line of hotels designed to commemorate important artists, inventors, scientists and leaders.
The new property, located in the center of Saigon’s District 1 and around the corner from the famous Saigon Opera House, is under construction now. The upcoming hotel’s position will provide easy access to the area’s shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and more.
Fusion’s team of designers have incorporated Charles Darwin’s studies of plants, animals and peoples to inspire the hotel’s decorations. Rooms will feature plant motifs, enlarged excerpts from Darwin’s writings and a palette of natural colors. Every room will also include a copy of the scientist’s On the Origin of Species.
Guests looking for entertainment can head to the Beagle Bar where the hotel will regularly present live music and spoken-word events. Visitors here will be able to choose from a menu of rum cocktails and local craft ales. The property will also offer the Origins Restaurant where chefs will create dishes based on Darwin’s journeys around the world.
Fusion began in 2008 and has since opened five resorts and hotels in Vietnam so far. In addition to Fusion Originals, Fusion also operates two other brands: The ‘all-spa inclusive’ Fusion Resorts and ‘all-suite’ city-based Fusion Suites.
