Holiday Events at The Pierre in New York City

Christmas has arrived at The Pierre, located across from Central Park in New York City. This year, executive chef Ashfer Biju and executive pastry chef Michael Mignano have designed menus, combining innovative creations with classics from The Pierre’s vintage menu.

The holiday season begins with The Pierre’s popular champagne sabering in The Rotunda with bottles from some of the most prestigious champagne houses. This events includes light canapés and champagne tastings. The event will be held on Thursdays, December 7 (Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque) and December 14 (Palmes d’Or Nicolas Feuillate). The events start at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, December 22 from 1:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m. in Two E, children can enjoy an afternoon tea with Santa. Prices are $40 for children or $30 for children who bring a toy to be donated to a local children’s charity; regular prices for adults are $65-plus. Santa will read a story and Christmas carolers will serenade guests. 

Broadway at The Pierre Cabaret Series continues on Monday, December 11 at 8:30 p.m. with a one-hour performance by cast members from the Tony Award-winning musical “Kinky Boots.” Advanced reservations are required. Guests will listen to Cindi Lauper’s songs while enjoying a set menu with a two-drink minimum for $75 per person.

On Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, there will be three-course pre-fixe menus for both lunch and dinner comprising Perrine Favorites. The menus will be available from noon to 9:00 p.m. for $95 per person; the price will be $45 for children under 12 for two courses. Guests receive specially made Christmas cookies, as well. Carolers will also be in attendance throughout the day.

For New Year’s Eve on Sunday, December 31, The Pierre will be offering dinner at Perrine, dancing in the Rotunda, and canapés and champagne in Two E until 1:00 a.m. The first seating is from 5:00 pm. to 6:00 pm for guests who are looking for a quite dinner or a quick meal before enjoying festivities outside of the hotel. Again, guests will have the choice of a three-course pre-fixe dinner ($95 per person and $50 for children under 12 for two courses). Gala Seating is from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with a four-course luxury menu ($325 per person; $150 for children under 12 for three courses, including party favors, a glass of champagne from Taittinger at midnight and passed sweets). Live music will be provided by the Antonio Ciacca Orchestra.
