The Inn of The Five Graces in Santa Fe has unveiled its latest Private Experience, “Spirit of the Old West.” The boutique Relais & Châteaux resort is offering an adventure that takes guests back to the era of Western movies by visiting an iconic location featured in many classic movies.
The “Spirit of the Old West” showcases the cinematic history of Santa Fe and the region through Northern New Mexico landscapes and at a movie set. Guests begin their adventure with a two-hour Jeep tour that winds through the landscapes where some of the most iconic Western movies were filmed. The journey continues with a one-hour horseback ride through an Old West movie set, where films from modern Westerns such as “3:10 to Yuma,” “The Magnificent Seven” and “The Harder They Fall” to classics such as “The Lone Ranger,” “In a Valley of Violence” and “Young Guns” were made. The set is an opportunity to look back in time and relive the spirit of excitement of the Wild West and the magic of movie-making.
Beyond the new “Spirit of the Old West” tour, guests can choose from a selection of experiences that span various aspects of Santa Fe’s offerings, including:
- “Puebloan Horno Baking In Ohkay Owingeh” – A full-day tour through the Sangre De Cristo Mountains ending at the Naranjo family’s Puebloan home, where the family will guide guests in crafting seasonal treats filled with locally harvested prunes and cherries by using the wood-burning horno oven, showcasing traditional baking techniques.
