Kamalame Cay to Host Silver Linings Retreats This June

Start your summer on the right foot. For the first time, Silver Linings Retreats, Kamalame Cay’s bespoke health and wellness program, is being offered in June. The retreat will take place June 1 to 15, 2018.

This retreat takes place at Kamalame Cay, the exclusive private island resort. A highlight of the June retreat is special guest teacher, renowned yogi Stewart Gilchrist. Stewart’s classes combine an emphasis on breath, vinyasa and philosophy with strong physical adjustments. In addition to Stewart’s special classes, the retreat combines multiple movement experiences, including Pilates, barre, HIIT, beach cardio, stretch classes and meditation; classes are set to an uplifting playlist from the DJ’s at NOX Entertainment.

London-based Silver Linings Retreats is led by founder Chrissy Sundt, who specializes in a holistic approach to mind/body health with programs that are tailored for participants. With a maximum of eight students per group, Sundt will help students focus on achieving their personal wellness goals by communicating with them before and after the retreat and creating special itineraries.

Kamalame Cay’s specially curated clean retreat menus for Silver Linings offer guests healthy options such as Kamalame conch salad with island herb and citrus vinaigrette, pan-seared mahi-mahi with arugula and asparagus salad, and seafood-stuffed avocado with tender lobster, conch and shrimp tossed with light citrus mayonnaise. Silver Linings’ retreats also include fresh-pressed juices from Radiance Cleanse.

Accommodations at luxe Kamalame Cay (ranging from villas to brand-new, beachfront bungalows), all have Bahamian décor, Molton Brown amenities and beachfront access/views. Note: There is no Wi-Fi or televisions in the rooms to help guests relax and reconnect with themselves. (There is a Wi-Fi lounge at the main office, Pineapple House, for those who need to check in with the “real” world.)

In addition to classes, Silver Linings guests can enjoy a variety of island activities, such as scuba diving and snorkeling, fat biking, tennis, bone fishing and treatments at the resort’s overwater spa.

Silver Linings Retreats rates are:

  • Five Days of Wellness: $1,950 per person
  • Seven Days of Wellness: $2,850 per person
  • 10 Days of Wellness: $4,000 per person
