Leading Hotels of the World Announces Five New Members

The Leading Hotels of the World has announced the addition of five new global members to its portfolio of over 375 independent luxury hotels. The new members include the Lodhi in India, Nobu Hotel Epiphany Palo Alto, the Hotel Cartesiano in Puebla, Bellagio Shanghai, and the Anandi Hotel and Spa.

Nobu Hotel Epiphany Palo Alto

This 70-room hotel is placed right in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley and just minutes away from shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor excursions. The property was rebranded to a Nobu Hotel in October 2017 and redesigned by McCartan Interior Design.

The hotel is home to the west coast's newest Nobu restaurant, and guests can enjoy 24-hour, in-room dining menu from Nobu restaurant.

For an outdoor experience, guests can reserve of the hotel’s bikes and head to the nearby Stanford University. Along the way, guests can explore attractions like the El Palo Alto Redwood tree, then take a guided tour from Stanford’s campus to the Portola Valley for scenic views.

Hotel Cartesiano

The new Hotel Cartesiano opened in October 2017 in the historical center of Puebla, just 85 miles southeast of Mexico City. The property, comprising two restored 18th-century colonial mansions and a more contemporary building, has 40 rooms and 38 suites.

Dining options include Centena Cuatro, serving a modern interpretation of regional Mexican cuisine with views over the city’s famous churches, and Café Hercilia, the more informal courtyard restaurant. For a wellness experience, guests can head to the Spa Cartesiano for relaxation and rejuvenation treatments.

Puebla’s famous Talavera pottery can also found throughout the property. Not far from the hotel, guests can explore the city center and many local shops to purchase a special piece of Talavera pottery to take home.

The Lodhi

The Lodhi is centrally located on nearly seven acres on the green edge of Lutyens Delhi, with 48 rooms and suites with private balconies and private plunge pools. The hotel’s dining scene includes the award-winning restaurant Indian Accent, serving an unconventional approach to Indian cuisine.

Hotel amenities include The Lodhi Spa, a stylist curated salon, health club, 50-meter lap pool, three tennis courts and two squash courts. The spa’s exclusive hammam and rituals drawing on India’s therapeutic traditions and other international treatments offer signature massages and relaxation experiences.

The hotel’s new nightclub, The Electric Room, includes live music and classic cocktails for guests to enjoy.

The Anandi Hotel and Spa

Opening in February 2018, this contemporary hotel in Shanghai will offer experiences and amenities dedicated to promoting physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. The 277 guest rooms, 48 suites and eight villas include green technology amenities and products, negative ion bedding and butler service.

The wellness center provides a new concept of integrated healing, delivering a collection health and well-being solutions for overall body rejuvenation, mindfulness, and energy balance therapies.

Centrally situated in the Hong Qiao hub, adjoining the Su Zhou River, it is near the city’s most prominent commercial areas.

Bellagio Shanghai

The Bellagio Shanghai, the sibling hotel to the Bellagio Towers in Las Vegas, will open at the end of this December. Set on the banks of the Suzhou River next to the Waibaidu Bridge, the hotel offers views of the Bund and the Lujiazui district.

The hotel has 138 rooms and 24 suites, some of which include private terraces. Plus, every suite at the Bellagio Shanghai will include personal butler service.

The Bellagio also offers a variety of dining options, a spa, fitness center and extensive function and meeting space.
