Fans of The Loren—which currently has properties in Bermuda and Austin, TX—will be excited to learn that the hotel company is again headed to the islands. Set to open in 2026, The Loren at Turtle Cove will be located in a private cove on Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos; it will become the third resort in the portfolio upon opening.
The resort—located just five minutes from Providenciales International Airport—will comprise a 34-room hotel, six beach villas and 25 condominium units, in addition to a restaurant, beach club and marina.
Hotel accommodations will range from one to five bedrooms, with the smallest room starting at 600 square feet. Beyond the restaurant and beach club, facilities will include two pools, a fitness center with ocean views, tennis courts, a spa and kid’s club. Good to know: The pool bar serves drinks, snacks, salads and sandwiches, while the oceanfront cabanas offer private bar service.
Each of the villas will offer private beachfront terraces with a private pool and loungers, private en-suite bathrooms with a freestanding soaking tub and environmentally responsible fittings, a gourmet kitchen with energy-conscious appliances (not to mention a functional chef’s kitchen for event-hosting), generous closet space, private parking (plus access to valet and chauffeur services) and a 24-hour concierge, not to mention all aspects of the hotel and a private wine storage unit.
Like the villas, the condos will offer access to all resort facilities and services; options will range from one bedroom to the five-bedroom penthouse. The private marina will offer slips ranging from 30 to 60 feet.
About the destination: Formerly known as Sellar’s Pond, the marina at Turtle Cove was originally an inland saline pond that was dredged out and now connects directly to the bay by an inlet channel, offering access to the Atlantic Ocean. Turtle Cove itself is surrounded by Smith’s Reef, composed of multiple reef systems and coral heads, each home to a diverse array of wildlife. The site where the hotel will stand was formerly the site of the Third Turtle Inn. Opened in 1969, the Third Turtle Inn was the first hotel in Turks and Caicos; it operated for 20 years before ceasing operations in 1989.
