Manchester’s Lowry Hotel Unveils Renovated Presidential Suite

Looking to write a song in Manchester? There’s a luxurious suite where you can do just that—while playing a grand piano and admiring panoramic views over the city skyline. In fact, this is also a coveted crash pad for A-list celebrities and royalty. (Psst: It’s the only Presidential Suite where a president has actually slept in Manchester, and a frequent set for television and film shoots.)

The five-star Lowry Hotel has recently unveiled a new look for the Charles Forte Presidential Suite after a $900,000 renovation. Measuring 2,228 square feet, it’s the largest hotel room in the city, and resembles a private apartment filled with art curated by ARTIQ.

Here’s what to expect: Interior designers Goddard Littlefaire completely reconfigured the space, adding a large walk-in dressing room and a new marble bathroom complete with a double steam shower and standalone tub. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, a large king bedroom, a lounge and a dining room that can seat eight people. Traveling with friends, personal assistant or stylist? There’s an additional bedroom and bathroom to accommodate your entourage. This space can also double as a gym or yoga studio.

Perks include a complimentary valet, in-suite check-in and welcome drinks, but you might want to take advantage of additional services: Get a private chef, rent a Tesla or design a work-out program with a personal trainer. At the end of the day, grab a drink from the in-room bar and soak up the panoramic views across the river Irwell through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
