Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree Debuts in Singapore

Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree in Singapore has opened its doors to welcome guests. The 11-acre resort is located just a short drive from the city center, within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, an integrated wildlife and nature destination. The property offers direct access to zoological parks such as Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and the upcoming Rainforest Wild.

The 338-room resort has been designed by WOW Architects. Upon arrival at the resort entrance, guests will be greeted by a nearly 40-foot-tall Rain Tree on one side and an Indian Beech tree on the other. Retained in their original locations on the site, these two trees symbolize the resort’s commitment to blending architecture with nature. The lobby is adorned with nature-inspired light features and bespoke furniture such as reception counters and benches created with upcycled wood.

The resort’s 24 tree houses each has a private patio. The adjacent five-story resort building, including the rooftop, houses 314 guestrooms and suites and offers views of the rainforest, garden and the reservoir.

Pretty cool: Designed with sustainability in mind, each room is equipped with an interactive display that shows power consumption levels and offers gentle reminders when usage exceeds recommended levels. Additionally, rainwater is collected and repurposed for the flushing system in every room.

Banyan Tree Spa at the Mandai Rainforest Resort also offers spa pavilions and suites integrated with its surroundings. It offers three treatment pods alongside three treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy a range of treatments and locally inspired therapies.

Staying at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree unlocks wildlife experiences across the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. These include early morning visits to Bird Paradise through the Wild Walk program, where guests can observe birds and interact with the keepers; and the Wild Explorer Camp, an immersive guided tour for children aged six to 10 years old at Singapore Zoo. In addition, resort guests will benefit from special rates on park entry and signature programs, offering even more opportunities to explore the wildlife nearby.
