The Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid has set an opening date. The hotel will open booking channels on October 8 for stays from March 15, 2021 onwards. The hotel has 100 rooms split in three categories: Superior, Deluxe and Mandarin; as well as 53 suites. Tip: It will be possible to connect suites and rooms to host families and groups comfortably. Top options include the Royal Suite, situated in its original location, and the Presidential Suite, which have been completely renovated. There are two new suites with balconies: The Mandarin Suite and Ritz Suite, located in the turrets in the front façade of the building.

In addition, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Mr. Greg Liddell as general manager of Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid and area vice president, operations, overseeing operations at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and Mandarin Oriental, Canouan. Liddell was previously GM of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok and area vice president, operations with responsibility for Mandarin Oriental, Canouan and Mandarin Oriental, Taipei from June 2017.
