The Somerset on Grace Bay Unveils Refresh in Time for 2023/24 Season

The Somerset on Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos has officially reopened for the 2023/24 season. The resort has unveiled refreshed spaces and programming just in time to meet the continued rise in multi-generational and friend-focused “friendcation” travel.

A recent Expedia survey revealed that 46 percent of travelers continue to say they want to make up for lost time with friends and family. In line with this finding, The Somerset on Grace Bay has curated its new “Girls Retreat on Grace Bay” package. Girlfriends can enjoy a private spa experience, sail the high seas on a catamaran, and enjoy a special cooking class offered by a private chef. Along with handcrafted cocktails, the gals will also have the opportunity to capture their experience with a photo shoot on the beach.

The in-room “Parents Survival Kits” stay includes books by local authors, coloring books and crayons, and bath toys. For days at the beach and pool, the hotel also includes sunscreen and after-sun care products, beach toys and healthy snacks for both children and adults. At the end of the day, the little ones can wind down with a white-noise machine and a night light, while parents relax with aromatic bath salts and a bottle of wine.

The resort refresh encompasses the property’s exteriors. The common areas, including the resort’s lobby, have been updated with a bright color palette. Many units now include kitchen equipment to create a home-away-from-home experience. Each unit sports upgrades to the minibar, besides the addition of sunscreen and sun recovery: soothing aloe, Liquid IV drink enhancements and ice rollers.

The Somerset on Grace Bay is offering 10 percent commission to travel advisors who book directly with the hotel, as well as a host of added amenities. The Somerset is represented in the U.S. by Island Luxe Resorts and offers 15 percent commission to travel advisors affiliated with Island Luxe. Rates start at $525 per unit per night.
