The Towers at Pacific in Los Cabos Debuts "Astronomical Night” Package

With its pitch-black skies and zero light pollution, the tip of the Baja Peninsula is an excellent place for stargazing—and the inspiration for a pair of “out-of-this-world” packages.

The Towers at Pacifica, the deluxe beachfront “resort within a resort” that debuted last year at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort, has put together two all-inclusive packages designed to appeal to ardent stargazers.

The “Astronomical Night” package includes accommodations for up to four guests in the Presidential Suite, which occupies the top floor of The Towers. This 3,233-square-foot suite has indoor/outdoor living space, two king bedrooms with en suites, and private terraces equipped with a fire pit, Jacuzzi and outdoor shower. The suite also has a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living/dining room that opens onto a terrace.

The program includes a tasting of Mexico’s top tequilas and mezcals guided by a resident expert. Tequila, the first distilled spirit on the North American continent, is sourced exclusively from blue agave grown mainly in Jalisco. It is produced in blanco or “silver” form (fiery, with strong vegetal aromas); as reposado (a mellower “rested” tequila aged for less than a year in oak); and anejo (an “aged” tequila that spends up to five years in oak barrels). Mezcal, on the other hand, is sourced from 25 different types of agave.

Following the tastings, one of Cabo’s top astronomers will arrive with a high-powered telescope to identify planets and constellations in the night sky.

In addition to an all-inclusive food and beverage program, including a special chef’s dinner at Peninsula, the “Astronomical Night” package includes 24-hour butler service. The “Astronomical Night” package is priced at $8,000.

The Towers at Pacifica is also offering a deluxe “Star Party” package for four guests that, in addition to the “Astronomical Night” offerings, includes: four “Heavenly” massages at the resort’s award-winning Armonia Spa; a Champagne beach dinner under the stars catered by Peninsula; and a tasting of Mexico’s finest wines from the top-rated Guadalupe Valley appellation in Baja California Norte, led by the resort’s sommelier and held around a hand-dug fire pit on the beach.  The exclusive “Star Party” package is priced at $12,000.
