Windsor Court Hotel Reveals $15 Million Renovation

Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans unveiled the results of a $15 million renovation, begun earlier this year and finishing in early October. Changes include updates to all 316 guestrooms and improvements to the hotel’s public spaces.

The 2018 improvements follow a $22 million renovation in 2012, which redecorated guestrooms, renewed the dining options and added The Spa at Windsor Court. The 2018 work sees the refurbishment of guest rooms, hallways, elevator landings, the Club Level Lounge and the hotel’s ballroom La Chinoiserie. The year’s biggest change was its addition of a new poolside bar.

The hotel introduced the new Waterman Poolside Bar. Sitting next to the 65-foot saltwater pool overlooking the skyline, the cabana-style bar serves frozen cocktails, wine, beer, a menu of shared dishes and a kids’ menu. Open to guests since April, the public will be able to enter beginning mid-July through Resort Pass.

In the guestrooms, the hotel added a variety of new furniture. New chairs, coffee tables, dress mirrors and sofas have been introduced. Windsor Court Hotel replaced all lights with LED bulbs, moved outlets and USB ports to be more accessible and improved the lighting in the living spaces. In the premium suites, the property installed new mini-refrigerators.

Windsor Court Hotel, operating for over 30 years, sits in the Central Business District, close to the French Quarter. Standing at 23 stories, the property offers several dining and drinking options, as well as a spa and catering service.
