Red Savannah Launches a Wedding Experience in Antarctica

Red Savannah has launched a destination wedding experience in Antarctica: “Celebrating a White Wedding in a White Desert,” starting at a price of $250,000.

Wedding parties of up to 12 people can fly out of Cape Town and travel over the Southern Ocean to Wolf’s Fang runway in Antarctica. Guests can enjoy a wedding breakfast on ice, cake-cutting ceremony and champagne in the Snow Lounge upon arrival.

Travelers who spend more than one day in Antarctica can stay at Echo, a new Polar camp comprising six pods with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a vast expanse of snow and the peaks of a range of nunataks on the horizon. Each pod has a central communal space and dining area where dishes prepared with South African produce is served with a pairing of wines. Couples can also opt for a stay at Whichaway Camp, with its wellness space and sauna pod on the shores of the freshwater lake of the Schirmacher Oasis.
