New Star Alliance Lounge Opens at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Star Alliance launched a new lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol this week. The space welcomes eligible First and Business Class passengers, Star Alliance Gold Card holders and paid lounge members of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Worldwide Club and United Club programs.

The new lounge offers a luggage storage area, work booths, communal work table, a serviced bar during afternoon hours, a complimentary buffet and dining area, business services and more. The area includes free Wi-Fi and both standard and USB power outlets. Open from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the lounge can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Located on the airport’s Panorama terrace level in the Departures 2, Schengen Area, the lounge mainly serves those flying with Adria Airways, Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Swiss and TAP Air Portugal. Those flying with other Star Alliance members can enter, but they should know that the lounge is situated before passport control.

Aside from the new Star Alliance lounge, the airport also offers: two KLM Crown Lounges for business class flyers and Flying Blue Platinum or Gold or SkyTeam Elite Plus members; two Aspire Lounges, one for international flights and another for travelers to the Schengen Area; and a British Airways lounge. Star Alliance’s new entry marks the airport’s first dedicated alliance lounge.
