Global Travel Collection Redesigns Online Education Platform

Global Travel Collection has relaunched its “Learning Library,” an online education platform for employees and independent contractor travel advisors. With the enhanced system, employees and advisors can learn at their own pace, accessing materials from any location, at any time and from any electronic device.

What can you expect? The “Learning Library” has a fresh look and a dashboard that’s easy to navigate. Employees and advisors can access the platform right from the home page on the company intranet. Once signed in, users will find a menu of suggested courses customized to employees and ICs alike. So far, the updated library contains nearly 300 courses and documents, and more are being added each week. Training is available in different forms to accommodate varied learning styles, including webinars and interactive e-Learnings.

“We want to make it as convenient as possible for our employees and travel advisors to increase their knowledge and skills,” said Angie Licea, president of Global Travel Collection, in a press release. “Our job is to provide travel advisors with the support they need to operate and grow their businesses. The ‘Learning Library’ plays a key role in that mission by giving advisors access to information that will help them be successful and keep up with our constantly changing industry. Most importantly, they can take advantage of this training whenever it fits their schedule.”

Topics include Sabre, ClientBase, Advisor Portal, Supplier Partner webinars and Fast Track Product Training. The “Learning Library” also has Employee Orientation information (for new and existing employees), Performance Management for employees and managers, and Service Fee training for independent contractors. Users will also find documents like tip sheets and manuals. For example, recent Featured Courses included webinars on hotel and cruise line partners, as well as deep dives into professional service fees and creating and updating a traveler profile with Sabre.
