Virtuoso celebrated its highest-performing travel agency members, whose achievements earned them invitations to this year’s Virtuoso Chairman’s Event in Bangkok.
The event rewarded Virtuoso’s most dedicated members, with more than 120 travel agency leaders and their guests from over 80 agencies attending. This group represented advisors from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom and United States.
Host hotels The Peninsula Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok were the site of meetings, receptions and meals. In fact, attendees were among the very first guests of the newly renovated Mandarin Oriental, fresh from an extensive restoration. The country’s National Museum, a former palace that now houses art and historic treasures, was the venue for the closing reception and dinner, sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
A highlight of the Chairman’s Event is the Design Your Day activities, which allow attendees to choose from a variety of experiences. Agency owners spent two days exploring Bangkok with a focus on exclusive, authentic experiences. Curated by local Virtuoso partners Abercrombie & Kent Southeast Asia and Luxe by Exo, the activities included viewing Bangkok street art in an emerging neighborhood, learning Muay Thai boxing techniques from a champion in the sport and discovering the characters and dance of traditional puppet theater.
The Virtuoso Chairman’s Event rewards agency members and advisors in the following categories:
- Highest total sales of Virtuoso preferred partners
- Highest average sales per advisor
- Largest sales growth of Virtuoso preferred partners
- Most engaged in Virtuoso programs and services, including those serving on the Member Advisory Board
Those who met the requirements and accepted the Chairman’s Event invitation experienced a destination immersion complete with private events and privileged encounters during the event, held November 13-17, 2019.
