Chatham Bars Inn has expanded its luxury arrival offerings by partnering with Wings Air Helicopters, a commercial helicopter operator specializing in experiential travel. The helicopter service will fly guests between Chatham Airport and all points in the Northeast, including Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Connecticut and more.
“With the addition of the Inn’s private jet partnership with Tradewind Aviation, the new partnership with Wings Air Helicopters will provide discerning travelers with a variety of luxury travel options, even before they step on property,” said Gary Thulander, managing director of Chatham Bars Inn.
Founded in 2002, Wings Air Helicopters is a New York-based commercial helicopter company. Certified minority owned, Virtuoso Preferred and holder of numerous safety awards, Wings Air Helicopters flies a fleet of helicopters throughout the northeastern United States. Services range from charter and curated helicopter experiences, from tours to aerial cinematography.
The partnership with Wings Air Helicopters joins Tradewind Aviation as one of Chatham Bars Inn’s partners in the sky. In June, Chatham Bars Inn and Tradewind Aviation launched “From The Clouds To The Cape,” pairing luxurious accommodations with private jet charters from regional locations.
The new helicopter charters will cut down traditional travel time for guests. Guests flying from New York City to Chatham will enjoy an efficient 90-minute in-air experience, while guests flying from Boston will arrive in Chatham in just 40 minutes. In addition to the experiences in the sky, Chatham Bars Inn has private luxury offerings on land and sea, including the Inn's new private beach clambakes for a toes-in-sand Americana summer and fall with fresh seafood prepared tableside.
The “Lexus Ultimate Beach Drive Experience” offers adventure on Cape Cod's beaches. As the only resort in Cape Cod to secure the required permits for guests to drive directly on the beaches, Chatham Bars Inn arranges a luxurious off-road beach excursion in a Lexus GX460 over-sand-vehicle (OSV) complete with a luxury beach set up, beach games and surfcasting, a picnic lunch, and option to add on a private beach clambake or campfire pit, all with a dedicated Chatham Bars Inn support team to ensure a supported beach day.
For guests interested in reeling in the day's catch, Chatham Bars Inn partners with Orvis for the only Orvis saltwater fly fishing school in Massachusetts. Led by an endorsed Orvis instructor, the one-day and two-day schools teach participants various techniques and methods including fly casting, essential knots, how to read water and currents, how to play, land and safely release fish, and more. After school, students can arrange a variety of fishing trips through Chatham Bars Inn including guided wade fishing, flats fishing and more.
