Fire Breaks Out at Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Destroys Gym, Pro Shop

A “ferocious” fire broke out at Four Seasons Resort Nevis on the evening of October 31. The fire reportedly started at the resort’s Pro Shop and Fitness Center, severely damaging both. The resort reported that no one was injured and said in a statement that the safety of its employees and guests were their top concern.

In a statement provided to Luxury Travel Advisor, a spokesperson for the resort said, "On the evening of Tuesday, October 31, 2023, there was a fire at the Pro Shop and Fitness Centre at Four Seasons Resort Nevis. The safety and well-being of our employees and guests is our top priority and we are relieved to share that everyone is safe and unharmed. We want to extend our gratitude to our dedicated staff, as well as the local fire department and emergency services teams for their rapid response and efficient handling of the situation. As we assess the extent of the damages and develop a plan for the restoration of the facilities, the Resort remains open and welcoming guests. We would like to express our gratitude to our guests, employees, partners and the Nevis community for their support during this challenging time."

West Indies and Caribbean News posted on X (formerly Twitter) video of the fire, which shows several buildings entirely consumed by flames and nearly entirely destroyed.

The St. Kitts & Nevis Observer additionally reports that the Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, pledged the government’s support in getting the resort back to normal operations as soon as possible.

In separate news from the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, it announced Thursday that Gaman Guadagni has been named its new resort manager. A 20-year luxury hospitality veteran, Guadagni began his career at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North in 2003 as an overnight manager, but most recently hails from Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, where he served as hotel manager.
