The Leading Hotels of the World Unveils Autumn Collection

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has welcomed four new member hotels to its portfolio. This season’s collection includes LHW’s first Qatar-based offering, a London townhouse, a holistic well-being retreat in Chiang Mai and an Art Deco hotel in Vancouver.

The Adria: Offering 24 rooms and suites, this 19th century townhouse in South Kensington is a short walk from Harrods and the museum district of London. Inside, antiques sit alongside contemporary furnishings and original artworks, plus Italian-marble bathrooms with heated floors and organic Bamford products. Facilities include a fitness suite and spa, besides several lounges. Afternoon tea is served daily in the Polo Lounge and the Games Room has a bar cart for cocktails. The concierge offers an extensive list of local recommended restaurants, from Asian delicacies to Michelin-starred menus for in-room dining.

Azur Legacy Collection Hotel: Spanning over 13 floors of a newly constructed building, the hotel is situated in the heart of Vancouver’s financial and fashion districts, and steps from the waterfront. It is home to 104 Art Deco-inspired rooms and 13 suites, each with marble bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and streamlined technology. Lobby-level Dahlia serves food throughout the day and Lavantine, on the 14th floor rooftop, offers a menu influenced by Middle-Eastern flavors with a backdrop of the city skyline.

The Chedi Katara Hotel and Resort: Between the desert and the Arabian Sea, this 91-room palatial property in Doha offers a private beach, destination dining options and a wellness spa and pool. Located in the district of Katara, the resort combines elements of both Mughal and Ottoman design heritage, with colonnades and a courtyard garden. Each of the hotel’s rooms, suites and private villas is decorated with bespoke wooden furnishings and oriental rugs. Facilities include the overwater restaurant Marsa Katara, besides two other restaurants, a cigar lounge and full-service spa suite.

Around its central pool flanked by bamboo and frangipani trees, stand four antique teakwood Thai dwellings, which the hotel has revamped into a spa, a restaurant, the local crafts-selling boutique, and a family-sized villa. The Ayurah Spa offers complimentary daily yoga, Qi Gong, meditation and mindfulness classes, besides personalized wellness programs led by a resident “master healer,” doctor, nurse and nutritionist.

Guests can experience enhanced stays at these new members by joining Leaders Club, LHW’s complimentary loyalty program.
