Montevalle Health & Wellness Resort Debuts in Mexico

Montevalle Health & Wellness Resort is a new luxury all-inclusive retreat in the heart of the Guadalupe Valley, in Baja California, Mexico. This adults-only, 14-villa resort, with six new villas in development, is owned and operated by Dr. Carlos Bautista, who has devoted his medical career to research and practice with natural and holistic therapies.

Set on 10 hectares and surrounded by the land’s immense boulders, olive trees and lavender fields, the property offers a reflexology path, meditation labyrinth, heated pool and jacuzzi, spa, gym, tennis court and restaurant.

“I wanted to create a place where people could escape the noise of the city for one day or several days, have contact with nature, and be able to stimulate their immune system and detoxify through a variety of treatments,” said Dr. Bautista.

All villa rooms have views and private wooden terraces with swing chairs; several of the rooms have interior mezzanines. At the hilltop restaurant, Chef Raul Nuñez and his team serve meals and snacks daily according to the wellness plan. The restaurant has a seasonal menu and highlights locally available produce.

Dr. Bautista’s wellness plans are designed to detox and stimulate the immune system to restore and reinvigorate the body and mind. Therapeutic treatments such as intravenous infusions of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are available with every plan. Besides treatments such as biomagnetic therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and laser therapy, guests can also benefit from integrative therapies, including wine therapy, which uses grapes from the on-site vineyard.

Montevalle’s “One Day Plan” consists of a health consultation, two intravenous infusions, a massage, treatments, full access to services and activities, and two meals. The “Superior Plan” includes accommodation, health consultation, a daily massage, two intravenous infusions, full access to services and activities, and three meals daily. The “Optimal Plan” provides complete detoxification and restoration, and features a total treatment program with Dr. Bautista’s custom-designed therapies.
