Palace Hotel Tokyo Unveils New Premier Suites

Palace Hotel Tokyo has announced the addition of a new category of six Premier Suites in celebration of its 10th anniversary this month. Taking into account the growing demand for luxury accommodations that cater to longer-stay guests, the property conceived the 970-square-foot Premier Suites, well-suited for both business and leisure travelers.

Each Premier Suite’s living space has two areas—a lounge with ample seating and a separate, multi-purpose space in which to dine or work. In the bedroom, a walk-through closet leads to an en-suite bathroom with double vanity and separate soaking tub and rain shower; it also has a dressing table. Guests can choose between a king-size bed or two oversized twin beds.

The new suites are spread over floors 10 to 15 of the hotel. Each suite has two balconies—on which you can dine al fresco—and offers views of Wadakura Fountain Park, the Imperial Palace gardens and the city skyline.

The furnishings and artwork are original and exclusive to Palace Hotel Tokyo, most having been commissioned specifically for the new suites. Curated by Art Front Gallery, the art pieces were all created by contemporary Japanese artists. Decorative elements also include porcelain and ceramic sculptures. The bath linens were made in Imabari, a city known for the quality of its towel production. Other Japanese touches include the nambu-tekki cast-iron teapots, handmade teacups reflecting the traditional Mashiko-yaki style of pottery, and Echizen lacquerware saucers.

Each Premier Suite can be expanded into a two-bedroom unit when the adjoining Club Deluxe King or Twin with Balcony room is also booked. Guests will also enjoy Club Lounge access, besides private check-in and check-out, concierge services, daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and canapés. An intimate meeting room that seats up to six, and an outdoor terrace with city views round out the facilities of the 1,851-square-foot space.
