Rocco Forte Hotels Unveils a “Grand Royal Experience” in Great Britain

Did somebody say royal fever? From The Crown’s runaway success to exciting engagements (we hear royal wedding bells!), all eyes are on Great Britain. Needless to say, the country's famous luxury hotels are getting in on the action. After the successful launch of “The Royal Experience,” a package offered by the Balmoral celebrating Her Majesty’s links to Scotland, Rocco Forte Hotels has unveiled the “Grand Royal Experience,” which combines stays at both Brown’s in London and The Balmoral in Edinburgh.

The high-end hotel group has teamed up with Simon Rhodes, Her Majesty The Queen’s cousin, to devise a six-day itinerary providing exclusive access to the principal occupied palaces and private estates in England and Scotland. Guided by curators from the Royal Collection Trust, the tour will include St. James’ Palace, Buckingham Palace, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Windsor Castle, Glamis Castle, Sandringham and the Royal Stud, Chartwell and Archers’ Hall.

Among the many highlights, guests will enjoy a private helicopter to Sandringham, the Queen’s country retreat, where they’ll visit the Royal Stud and lunch in York Cottage Dining Room, not usually open to the public. Also on the list? A trip to Windsor Castle, just two weeks after the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle takes place there.

Perks featured in the Grand Royal Experience include private dinners, behind-the-scenes tours, champagne soirees, and suite accommodations. This exclusive trip will only take place from Thursday, May 31st to Thursday, June 7th, and there is space for up to six guests. Prices start from £40,000 (approximately $56,594) per person.
