Toscana Resort Castelfalfi Reopens After Renovation

Toscana Resort Castelfalfi has reopened following a multimillion-dollar renovation. Owned by the Lohia Family, the 146-room and villa destination has unveiled refreshed public spaces, guestrooms and suites, besides a new restaurant, Olivina, helmed by Chef Davide De Simone and designed by Henry Chebaane. Located in the heart of the Tuscan hills between Florence and Pisa, the resort affords views of the surrounding hills, olive groves and vineyards, as well as access to a championship golf course, spa and numerous dining options featuring Tuscan cuisine.

All accommodations have had a complete overhaul, overseen by French decorating firm Affine design for the signature suites and spa, and Italian studio CaberlonCaroppi for the guestrooms, junior suite and suite terrace. Inspired by the Tuscan landscape, four new signature suites including the Castelfalfi Suite and Castelfalfi Grand Suite by Affine design offer a contemporary look. Throughout the property, earthy wood tones and antique brass warm up the spaces.

Reopening this fall, La Spa will unveil an indoor-outdoor infinity pool, set in perfect harmony amongst the Tuscan Hills. Until the renovation helmed by Affine Design is complete, guests can enjoy treatments in a “pop-up spa” in La Tabaccaia, one of the estate’s historical buildings.

The largest course in Tuscany, the 27-hole layout is divided into two courses, designed by architects Preißmann and Morode. With sustainability at the heart of everything, the recovery of rainwater allows for irrigation of the grounds, for which the estate has been granted the GEO Certified eco-label.

Pretty cool: The luxury resort produces its own wine and olive oil. In celebration of the estate reopening, Fonterinaldo is the property’s latest white wine. It has fruity notes of white peach and lemon zest, herbaceous notes of thyme and a slight balsamic scent.
